Draft

The topic of my choice is the media's control over what we as the viewers assume to be a "postive role model."

I want to look at the way media portrays celebrities and how that builds our opinions as viewers on them and their actions, I also want to look at how the media creates these 'Super Obsessed Fans'.

The point of my argument will be that the media does in fact shape our own personal opinions on whats right and whats wrong and also what it is to be a positive role model.

My argument : How does the media shapes our opinion and ideas about role models?

  1. Is it possible to be more specific, such as,
    The media uses person 1 ,2 ,3 ,4 as role models in situation A, B, C, D.
I argue that is is wrong because X, Y Z.?

  2. I think you do have a leg to stand on when arguing that media does effect how we see others and even ourselves. How do you think it has changed your own perceptions of yourself?

  3. this is a very good topic and yes i do agree with taylor that media does change our perspective towards others for example the type of clothing a person is wearing because of the brand.

  4. The point your discussing is very prevalent throughout the media and society in general. You digressed about what influence it 'could' have in our lives and formation of opinions, but not the effects it does have on a broad scale, addressing these would validate your point far more so, just a thought, neat reading.
